Rules and conditions for using HyList

1. Scope

These terms of service apply to the use of the website HyList (hereinafter referred to as "Service") and all related features. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. Description of Service

HyList is a directory service for Hytale servers. Users can:

  • Browse and view server listings
  • Vote for servers
  • Submit their own servers (with an account)
  • Upload server information (images, descriptions)

3. Disclaimer for Servers

HyList is exclusively a directory service.

We are not responsible for:

  • The contents, gameplay, or conduct on the listed servers
  • Data loss, damage, or negative experiences on external servers
  • The availability or quality of the listed servers
  • Violations of laws or guidelines by server operators

Responsibility for each server lies with its respective operator. Issues with a server should be directed to that operator.

4. User Conduct & Prohibited Content

When using HyList, the following is strictly prohibited:

  • NSFW Content: Pornographic, sexually explicit, or glorifying violence in images, descriptions, or servers
  • Illegal Content: Servers that promote or enable illegal activities
  • Bot Voting: Use of bots, scripts, or automated systems to manipulate votes
  • Vote Manipulation: Bypassing the cooldown system via VPNs, proxies, or other methods
  • Spam: Repeated submission of the same server or misleading listings
  • Identity Theft: Impersonating another user or server operator
  • Hate Speech: Racist, discriminatory, insulting, or defamatory content

5. Moderation & Staff Rights

The administrators of HyList reserve the right to:

  • Delete, edit, or suspend any server listing without prior notice
  • Suspend or delete user accounts for rule violations
  • Block IP addresses in case of abuse
  • Mark or remove listings as Featured
  • Reject approval of new server submissions

These measures serve quality assurance and community protection. There is no entitlement to publication of a listing.

6. Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency Notice: HyList uses affiliate links to partners such as Nitrado, ZAP-Hosting, and other providers.

If you make a purchase through such a link, HyList receives a commission. There are no additional costs for you.

Affiliate links are marked on the website as PARTNER or SPONSORED. These revenues help us operate HyList for free and ad-free.

7. Intellectual Property

The design, logo, and code of HyList are protected by copyright.

Content uploaded by users (images, descriptions) remains the property of the respective users. By uploading, you grant HyList the right to use, display, and distribute this content to provide the service.

8. Account Security

You are responsible for the security of your account and the associated OAuth accesses (Discord, Google). HyList is not liable for unauthorized access to your account caused by your negligence.

9. Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to change these terms of service at any time. Significant changes will be announced on the website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is, to the extent legally permissible, the domicile of the operator.

11. Severability Clause

Should individual provisions of these terms of service be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by an effective regulation that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
